La Huesera- Death Mask

Natural Terra Cotta clay. Total time 3ish hours. 10.5x6.5x3.5 (roughly) life size piece.

Preparing for my part in the upcoming MFA Thesis Exhibition. I've got a 3 part exhibit I'm planning, with the death-masks being one part.  Taking my character and bringing her to "reality". Not going for hyper-realism here, but a feeling/ translation of the feel of my character if she would be "alive" in the real realm.

Here's a sneak peek at something else planned for the exhibit too:

Watercolors and wild dogs.

I busted out a whole bunch of these one day last week.  Wild dogs and Coyotes, some reference, some not.

La Loba update

More model sheets-- La Loba updated. I wanted to make her more corpulant...so I did! Her eyes are still going to remain closed most of the time...but its surprisingly difficult to make a face feel stretched and still have its eyes closed.
